Being a teen can be tough. There’s a lot happening at once. Therapy gives adolescents a place where they can talk honestly, feel understood, and figure things out without judgment or pressure.
The therapy space is a safe, nurturing, nonjudgmental environment for clients to experience validation, empathy, and compassion, while also challenging limiting beliefs and unhelpful thoughts.
When you come to therapy, you deserve a space where you feel respected, heard, and understood. My approach is open and centered on you—your experiences, your voice, and your needs. What we talk about in session is confidential, and I won’t share it with anyone unless you ask me to, or if there’s a safety concern I’m required to address. We will thoroughly discuss the limits of confidentiality in your first session. Just know, you are in control of the conversation, and together we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
As a parent, you play an important role in your teen’s well-being, and I value collaborating with you in a way that supports their growth. While sessions with your teen are confidential to help them feel independent and open, I welcome ongoing communication with parents. This may include brief check-ins, sharing general themes, or discussing ways you can support your teen—always with respect for your child’s privacy and autonomy. Together, we can create a supportive environment that helps your teen thrive.
